Tamati - Health (whare tapa wha)

This health model is Te Whare Tapa Wha which represents the Maori cultural perspectives of a person's well-being. The key features are the keywords and simple definitions of each dimension which is also represented in a physical form.

I will apply the Te Whare Tapa Wha model of health to my well-being at my touch game last week. Last week Tuesday at our touch game we were able to meet up with new and old friends from the other teams which positively affected our social well being as we were able to create a stronger bond with them after having a few talks and catching up. We were very happy when we played our first game because we were able to win, which affected our Mental/emotional well being very positively. Unfortunately as the next game came around we were unable to win which negatively affected our spiritual well-being in a way where we felt no sense of achievement. Although, our physical well-being was enhanced in a positive way because we all had the ability to move and run around.
